Scheduling & Reminders
Never forget an important task or follow-up again. Marin's scheduling and reminder system helps you stay on top of everything by setting automated reminders in plain English.
How It Works
Simply tell Marin when you want to be reminded about something, and it will email you at the right time. You can use natural language like "tomorrow", "next Friday", "in 2 weeks", or specific dates and times.
Setting Reminders
Examples
Simple reminder:
"Remind me tomorrow to call the client"
With specific time:
"Remind me Friday at 2pm to send the invoice"
Relative timing:
"In 3 days, remind me to follow up on the proposal"
Next week:
"Next Monday morning, remind me to review the team's progress"
Follow-up Reminders
Marin is perfect for setting follow-up reminders so important conversations don't fall through the cracks.
Examples
"If they don't respond, remind me to follow up in 5 days"
"Check in next week to see if they received the proposal"
"Remind me on Friday to follow up with the three leads from this week"
Recurring Tasks
Set up recurring reminders for regular tasks you need to remember.
Examples
"Every Monday morning, remind me to check inventory levels"
"On the 1st of each month, remind me to send invoices"
"Every Friday at 5pm, remind me to review the week's progress"
Common Use Cases
Customer Follow-ups
"Remind me in 3 days to check if the customer is satisfied with their order"
Project Deadlines
"Next Thursday, remind me the project deadline is approaching"
Material Restocking
"In 2 weeks, remind me to order supplies for next month"
Payment Follow-ups
"If payment isn't received, remind me in 7 days to send a follow-up"
Pro Tip
Be specific in your reminder descriptions. Instead of "follow up", say "follow up with John about the Q2 proposal". This gives you all the context you need when the reminder arrives.
Managing Your Reminders
You can view, update, or cancel your scheduled reminders from the Pending Actions dashboard.
Managing via email:
"Show me all my upcoming reminders"
"Cancel the reminder I set for Friday"
"Move tomorrow's reminder to next week"
Reminders are delivered via email, so you'll get them even when you're away from your computer.
