Connecting Your Accounts
Marin works by connecting to the tools you already use. This guide explains how to connect each service and what permissions Marin needs.
How Connections Work
When you connect an account, you're giving Marin permission to perform actions on your behalf. Marin uses secure OAuth authentication — the same technology used by major apps — so your passwords are never shared.
Available Connections
Google Workspace
Gmail
What it enables: Reading incoming emails, sending replies, searching your inbox
Go to Connections
Click Connect Gmail

Google Calendar

The setup process is similar to Gmail. Go to Connections and click Connect Google Calendar.

Managing Your Connections
Viewing Connected Accounts
All your connected accounts are visible on the Connections page. You'll see the status of each connection and when it was last used.
Disconnecting an Account
To remove Marin's access to a service:
- Go to Connections
- Find the account you want to disconnect
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the disconnection
Marin will immediately lose access to that service. Any pending tasks that require that service will fail.
Reconnecting
If a connection expires or you accidentally disconnect, simply click Connect again and go through the authorization process.
Permission Levels
For each connected account, you can control what Marin is allowed to do:
| Level | Description |
|---|---|
| Full Access | Marin can perform any action without asking |
| Approval Required | Marin will ask for your confirmation before acting |
| Read Only | Marin can read information but not make changes |
| Disabled | Marin cannot use this service |
Configure these settings in your Permissions page.
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
If a connection fails:
- Make sure you're signed into the correct account
- Check that pop-ups aren't blocked in your browser
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Permissions Error
If Marin can't perform an action:
- Verify the account is still connected
- Check your permission settings
- Make sure you granted the necessary permissions during setup
